Classic Covers

Here are some of my favorite album covers. I like album covers that are creative and unique and I think these definitely are. Not only do these albums have groovy covers they also have some great music and are classic albums like Sticky Fingers and Sgt. Peppers.

Cream's Disraeli Gears album. Eric Clapton wanted to buy a racing bike and was discussing it with Ginger Baker. their roadie Mick Turner said ''It's got them disraeli gears" meaning to say derailleur gears. But instead making a reference to the Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. that's how the album got it's odd name.

The Byrd's Sweetheart Of The Rodeo. The only Byrd's album with Gram Parsons, who had the idea that the band do a country oriented album.

The Flying Burrito Brothers ''Gilded Palace Of Sin'' some nice classic country music, and you gotta love those nudie suits.

''Sticky Fingers'' one of my favorite Stone's albums.

The Beach Boys ''Sunflower'' one of my all time favorite albums. The cover is a photo taken on the golf course at the ranch owned by Dean Martin. Dean's Son Ricci Martin took the photo. It features Brian holding his daughter Carrnie, Alan standing with his son Matthew, Mike siting with his children Hayleigh and Christian and Carl with his son Jonah.

The cover was designed by Robert Brownjohn. Cake was prepared by Delia Smith and the figures on top represent the band.

Fleetwood Mac ''Kiln House'' cover was designed by Christine McVie

Paul McCartney & Wings ''Wild Life''
