Black Magic Woman

Stevie Nicks is not only famous for her singing career with Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist, but also for her unique gypsy-like  fashion, which consisted of chiffon skirts, lace blouses, shawls and suede 5 inch platform boots.  Stevie on how she was influenced for her fashion. "We [she and Buckingham] were the opening act for Janis Joplin.I must have been eighteen when I saw this girl in the audience wearing a mauvy pink chiffon skirt and very high cream suede boots. Her hair was kind of Gibson [Gibson Girl] -she she had some pink ribbons- and I thought that's it."
 Stevie Nicks also wrote many of Fleetwood Mac's most famous songs including Gold Dust Woman, Sara, Landslide, and Dreams, which was a number one hit.

In The Studio

Some photos of bands and musicians behind the scenes recording in the studio.  The most popular studios were Gold Star, which was famous for the Specter "Wall Of Sound. "  The Beach Boys also recorded numerous albums there including Pet Sounds and Good Vibrations.  Wally Heider opened in 1969 in San Francisco and was where Jefferson Airplane and The Gratefull Dead recorded.  Abbey Road was where The Beatles recorded almost all of their albums with producer George Martin.  Some Musicians had in home studios and could record in the comfort of their own home, like Brian Wilson did.
