Surfing was very popular along the east and west coasts during the sixties and seventies and still is today. Surfing culture became popular during the sixties in southern California amongst the teenagers. Surfers drove woodies worn bikinis or baggies, used slang words like stocked, gnarly and dude and listened to surf music such as the Beach Boys, Dick Dale, Jan and Dean and the Surfaris. Ocean Beach in San Diego California is a village that has long been devoted to the surfing culture and was once known as the haight-Ashbury of San Diego.

Glam Mick
Today is Mick Jagger's 68th birthday, so I decided to post some pictures that capture the glam look Mick had going in the early to mid seventies. His on-stage wardrobe consisted of Ossie Clark velvet jumpsuits in all different styles and colors, leather jackets, necklaces, bracelets, belts and a lot of eye makeup. This is my favorite Mick Jagger look, enjoy.
