Twiggy, the stick-thin model with the boyish hair cut and androgynous looks was one of the most iconic models of the sixties. She was born Lesley Hornby on September 19,1949 in northwest London. At a young age she was taught how to sew and made most of her own clothing. She started her modeling career in 1966, making her the first teenage model!
