Fringe was very popular in the sixties and seventies in fashion, especially amongst the hippies. Whether it be worn on a jacket, pants, vest or boots it could be shook all over.

i really dig the penelope tree photograph. but then again, anything that features fringe, ptree, and someone jumping in the air is like an AWARD WINNER to me. (i have very specific/eccentric tastes)
