Shea Stadium

On August 15, 1965 The Beatles performed at Shea Stadium in New York in front of an audience of 55,600, most of them were screaming girls.  The noise was so loud at the stadium that none of the Beatles could hear themselves.  It was the first concert held at a stadium and set a record for attendance. The Beatles returned a year later to give another concert at Shea Stadium and it was just as successful as the first time.

What a legendary concert. I always wish I'd been able to go, but unfortunately I wasn't alive, haha. Nice collection of photos!

I've given you the Top Ten Award! Have fun with it. :)
