Kenwood was the Tudor style home bought by John Lennon for £20,000 in 1964. It was located on St. George's Hill estate, in Weybridge, Surrey, England. The house was built in 1913 and had 27 rooms. John actually didn't like the design of the house and spent twice the amount he paid for it on renovations and also added a swimming pool. He lived there with his wife Cynthia and son Julian until the late sixties. Many photo shoots were taken at the residence during his span of living there.

ReplyDeleteMakes me sad that I'm too young to have ever seen the Beatles live (and angry that my father never did, even though he had the opportunity considering his age :P).
